"Joe Lieberman's finest hour" - link
snip-
BUT LIEBERMAN is back in the news this month in a way that seems more in tune with the independent-minded senator who became the first prominent Democrat to publicly scold president Bill Clinton for lying and immorality. Rather than following his fellow Democrats into opposition to the war in Iraq, Lieberman has become one of the most vigorous advocates for a policy of pursuing American military action until victory.

And far from the hopeless quagmire described by Bush's critics, Lieberman sees the battle there as "a war between 27 million and 10,000; 27 million Iraqis who want to live lives of freedom, opportunity and prosperity, and roughly 10,000 terrorists who are either Saddam revanchists, Iraqi Islamic extremists or al-Qaida foreign fighters."

Even more to the point, he has taken his party members to task for placing their hatred for Bush above the national interest.

2. How much is going to take
to make the democrats stand up and say "enough of this Joe"?

No one is placing their hatred of Bush above the national interest.

I'd like to know what nation he is really interested in.

5. So. Do you think it is all about Israel for Joe?
It certainly doesn't have much to do with OUR national interest. The Jerusalem Post sure seems to like him.

"As a senator and national candidate, Joe Lieberman has already achieved far more than he could have hoped, though perhaps less than he dreamed. But his efforts to keep our nation united and focused on the war against Islamist terrorists may well prove to be his finest hour."

Message to the Jerusalem Post: Supporting the war is a moot point. It's HOW one supports the war, how one defines the enemy, and how one intends to achieve victory and get out of Iraq that is pertinent.

6. Lieberwootz
As Howard Stern calls him.

:dunce:

I thought the title line might refer to the one time in the senator's life he wasn't actually boring.

It's bad enough he's a right-wing stooge. (Why on Earth does he belong to the Democratic Party? Will someone please ask him about this at a press conference?) Does he have to talk like a vacuum that has a corner of the rug stuck in it?
