I would LOVE to have a wage of $200/month. Wouldn't you? Seriously.

Of course, rent would have to be $15/mo, health insurance $35/mo, gas at 29 cents a gallon, food (2 parents, 2 offspring) for $40/mo...

Unfortunately, our corporate friends see fit to keep certain things high-priced, but lower prices for everything else. Unfortunately, the things remaining high (for us, not the rest of the world) include useless things like shelter, food, and medicine. Nothing big, apparently...

See, that is the problem in America. The same standard of living given to us by our corporate friends is now what makes America unable to compete in a laughable called "globalized" economy.

And while India and China might run out of IT-type jobs, there's always Russia to consider - another impoverished country...

So, when corporate america goes about fixing up the US instead of takin' the money and runnin', let me know.

4. US$225 a month
For a five bedroom house in Itamaraca in Brazil. US$25,000 to buy. 30 metres from the beach... Needs a paintjob - but came fully furnished even. Minimum wage is about US$175 a month.
