Churches *GASP* attack Christmas!
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 11:58 AM by gatorboy
We know about the "War on Christmas" being fought to destroy our values. There has even been some false controversy over a school changing the lyrics of "Silent Night" to "Cold In the Night" that Fox news has been bellowing but has turned out to be a fraud.

What they didn't tell you is even churches have been performing this very play:

SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PRODUCTION

A Christmas musical/drama, "The Little Tree's Christmas Gift," will be presented by the Children's Church at 10:35 a.m. Sunday at Bethel Temple Christian Center, 3101 N. 12th.

The musical, written by Ann Lambert and Dwight Elrich, stresses that everyone has something special to offer.

So what's it gonna be, O'Reilly? Time to put up or shut up and start denouncing those heathern churches!

1. I've been taking a tally
of what kind of greeting I've been getting. Just had some fellows deliver chemicals for our pest control company, and they wished me a "nice holiday". I have yet to hear "Christmas" used by any clerks around here-only one salesman used it on the phone, even! I live in NW Arkansas, not a blue area by any means.

2. I've always used 'holiday' as a generic greeting ...
... mostly because so many people take time off work at this time of year, I look at it not as Christmas or New Year or Hannukah, but ... 'enjoy your time off' - which to me, is a HOLIDAY.

Maybe I'm just wierd.

3. Yes, O'Reilly, there is a hell. It exists in the hearts of people like you
People used to say "Peace on Earth, good will toward men." this time of year. But now, thanks to you, we have War and Christmas in the same line. That's just what I need to hear every time I turn around. WAR on Christmas. I guess it's appropriate because we will have a War on Christmas and every other day as long as asshats like you and your radical rightwing fascists spend our hard earned tax money on a culture of death. I have a few Christmas wishes. I'd like you and the thought police at your hate-mongering, Bush-worshiping, boot-licking, un-American network to stay out of my family's home. DON'T tell me what kind of tree I have to have or what I have to call it. DON'T tell me what to say to my neighbors or what to think as I celebrate the holidays and keep your fucking hands off the presents under my tree. Those aren't sex toys. It's a set of bath soaps and scrub brushes for the bathroom.

4. Faux News: some overactor going "I know it's not politically correct, but
Edited on Thu Dec-15-05 12:10 PM by darkmaestro019
Merry Christmas!" in such a way that you can SEE this moron's chest thrown out. The punchline? Text across the screen that says "Season's Greetings." (eyeroll)

EDIT: now that I replay it in my head that may well BE O'Reilly saying that. Don't know and don't frankly care. That motherfker could be made of hashish and shoving a wheelbarrow filled with solid gold and I STILL wouldn't let him into my house. By that logic I flee anytime I see his beef-jerky face on the TV for any reason.
