It seems to me that she was having drinks and being shmoozed by Rove's lawyer and "accidently" gave him some information she shouldn't have.

Note: All the DC reporters seem to be in bed (not literally, necessarily) with the WH operatives.

3. It doesn't. Luskin was proclaiming that Novak helped

Rove "remember" the Cooper meeting, and that's why he changed his testimony. However it looks like the meeting most likely occurred before his first testimony, so this "revelation" doesn't fly.

4. I think Luskin's idea is that she helps to cover Rove's lie

Rove lied and said he didn't remember a conversation with Cooper. Then suddenly Luskin was alerted by VNovak so they searched the records and found the email. Rove's was an honest mistake, you see, but thanks to VNovak they were able to trace it back and provide the evidence Fitz was after. Sorry about that! Gosh, who knew!
