Even more Stupid - the Patriot Debate

Senator Bill Frist announced today's schedule on C-span2

He is allotting 2 hours of debate on the Patriot Act. The rest of the time will be spent on reconciliation on the education spending bill, a luncheon, then a vote on the Labor, Health and Education bill.

2 hours. My, my, my. Democracy at work.

I see that the White House again suggested they had a deal with McCain on torture, only to have McCain again say he is not budging.

1. Frist may have a little surprise headed his way on the Patriot debate.

I don't think our side is going to play dead again. Feingold and Reid have indicated they will filibuster, and hopefully Reid is marshalling the troops right now.

2. All they have to do is hold out until the end of the year

and let the darn thing expire.
