5. RawStory: ACLU says next deadline in Abu Ghraib photo case is Dec. 15

A judge could rule on whether to order the release of new photographs from the U.S.-run Abu Ghraib prison anytime after Dec. 15, an ACLU spokesperson told Raw Story.

The 144 photographs and four videos, which have been seen by New Yorker journalist Seymour Hersh, are alleged to contain photographs of U.S. servicemembers involved in raping detainees, possibly underage. The photos and videos are in addition to an earlier set of photographs already released.

The Bush Administration has successfully blocked their release, first saying they needed time to anonymize those engaged in illicit behavior, and then seeking a permanent block, arguing the photos could endanger troops and civilians overseas.

10. How many time can they block the release of these photos?

Isn't there some sort of damn limit on how many times they can appeal? Are they changing their justification for their release every time they appeal? How many different judges hav ordered these picutes released to havethe White House ignore them while whining and crying about it? Ther eis one reason they do not want thee released, plain and simple. They show without a doubt that they are liars and makes them look REAL bad.

They care not for the troops for their expendability in sacrifice serves the greater fundamentalist Christian good. Praise Jaysus!

screaming that we don't torture I have to assume they know the photos won't be released. But there is always hope.

Everyone that thinks it's ok assumes that the torture will be on the nasty evil organizers of some complex terrorist plot. But we are grabbing people right and left and I know, because we are out of our element in many countries, then we have grabbed Innocent people. And we torture them! I'm honestly not holding my breath.

This has been put off so many times, it will be a minor miricle if they are ever released.

Be prepared for a last minute call from the moron* to the judge telling him that if he releases the photos, some OTHER photos or something like that will be released. Catch my drift?
