If US ever attack Iran
It be too late for Americans.
US will officially be at war.
Martial law will kick into effect.
Anti war activies will be treasons.
2006 election will be call off.

Bush did not get his war
Saddam did not fight.

4. If either Israel or the US launches a serious attack on Iran
the Shite Iraqis would join them and they would seriously kick our ass.

It's not a good idea and Bush knows it. I think he's all talk, no action on this one.

Iraq was already "a bridge too far"

Whilst they're pinned down, do you think they want to make the film:
"a bridge too too far"

An attack on iran, would elicit the retaliation, which
would then go limited nuclear, and the radiation cloud
ends up killing 1 million russians... and then it goes
much more global nuclear, as bush's ultimate goal is to
pave the streets in american blood, there is no doubt.

God, it really is like forcasting sauron... doom, fuckup,
blunder, disaster, stupid thing, bungle, FUBAR, at least
the republicans are consistent.

However, the levers of state are slipping in their sweaty
little hands, the once secure control over the public mind is now
a paranoid grasp that the minority will keep them afloat.
The political will, on behalf of the rest of the country to
start another iraq war, will take more than words to move
forward, even nuclear plant development.

I can only see it if iran does an agressive military attack
of significance, and that is the only way i can see them
having a fishhook to get in to iran... so if the tinfoilers
are right, then tonkin bay-II is on the horizon.

10. Iran will fight back with the Hawk missiles Ollie North gave them
that's right - pretend patriot Oliver North -- NeoCon Republican drug smuggler and radio blowhard -- made sure the Iranians got their hands on our high-tech Hawk Anti-aircraft missiles back in the days of Iran Contra.

A shameful act of treason against the people of the United States of America.

If Bush invades Iran, I hope none of our pilots will die becuase of what North did.

21. Russia and China
Important is does Chimp really understand that. Will he listen.
Or does he think US is Almighty just like Hilter did.

Logic say otherwise.
But look at the logic of Iraq.
Finally what US invaded Iraq.....
because Chimp want to.
Does he want to invade Iran
I bet he does.

14. I don't see how we could be successful baring nukes.
Iran's military is much stronger then Iraq. They have a large population of younger men to fight. The country itself is much more territory then Iraq.

Even if we used airpower(non-nuke) to pound them I still don't see, barring a large draft how we could maintain control of the country on the ground. Then imagine the reaction of Russia and China as the US would then control two of the large oil producing nations in the world...

I can see it happening though due to two big things:

1. Israel. They are NOT going to let Iran get any type of nuclear weaponry.

2. Euro based oil market is being discussed in Iran.

17. Israel just might do it
Logistically speaking I think they could do it. They have the planes and bunker buster bombs. I'm unsure what the IAF's mid air refueling capabilities are. Without any they are looking at one way suicide missions. They would also need overflight permission from Jordan and Iraq. Or Saudi Arabia. I can imagine the thought of a Nuclear-armed Iran is not a happy one for the Saudis. The pilots either land on American air bases in Iraq or use the cyanide pill option.

Of course Iran has placed it's most sensitive sites in residential areas - next to schools etc. So be prepared to see dead kids on the news 24/7 for a month. Unfortunately there is no way around this other than not attacking.

Mind you, the US is already in the region and has the firepower in place. And what, its not like its possible for the world to hate Americans even more at this point.

2. Euro based oil market is being discussed in Iran.

Way past the discussion stage, it's scheduled to become reality in March 2006. The Iranian Oil Bourse was approved long ago. All this Iranian War talk just a coincidence? I don't think so. Peace.

18. The poster is right. It doesn't take much to scare white americans
into authorizing anything. They can demonize Iran just like they did Iraq. They can get intel that says Iran is planning to nuke the U.S. Americans would support a draft and anything else to defeat the threat to "our way of life."

During the buildup to the Iraq war, a lot of my liberal friends caved in to the fear mongering and started saying "I think we gotta go invade Iraq". Only one has since admitted to me with chagrin on his face, that he was suckered in.

It doesn't take much. Tell America the big black boogeyman is coming to get you and we will authorize anything.

22. Sad but true
The danger is that Americans beleive that US is too powerful and can win in any war.
To many right or wrong does not matter but wheather one can do it does.
Iran against US. Winner US thats for sure.

But things does get messy after that.
Danger here is Chimp great at building case of a present action without a plan for the future.
Hopefully the fact that Iraq problems is cause by no longterms planning make lots of people think of consquences.
As for what Chimp wants. He wants to kick Iran ass.
That is the danger. He dont care. He never need to face the consquences of his mistake before.
He dont even need to face his errors on Iraq. Getting his way is all that matter. And attacking Iran is what he wants now.

Hopefully people within his bubbles can control him. If not, US is on the path of destruction.
