6. The majority(Shia) will obviously win; so the future depends on
their willingness to treat the Sunni minority fairly regarding things like sharing oil revenues,
gov't benefit programs, actions of the Gov't (Shia) police system toward Sunnis, etc.

and also on the perception of the Sunnis as to whether they can receive fair treatment.

The Kurds in n. Iraq want atonomy, and seem to essentially be getting it. They'll be happy as
long as they mostly get atonomy. They control a lot of the oil.
The other oil is in southern Iraq in shia area. Sunni(central) doesn't have any.
And oil is Iraq's main resource and the economic pump. What happens with the oil money
will be a major issue in whether there can be peaceful cooperation between the factions.

He is running as a secular. He is the favorite of this administration.

7. www.icasualties.org has an interesting prediction on the outcome
See at www.icasualties.org You have a secular movement and religious movements involved in this election.

Just think of the havoc here in our country that the religious movement fanatics are trying to cause in our secular government.

Then imagine it is the 7th century mentality of the religious movements in Iraq. It will be Falwell/Robertson to the 10th degree.

I worry most about the Iraqi women and children.
