Pentagon is watching you....
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10454316

“I think Americans should be concerned that the military, in fact, has reached too far,” says NBC News military analyst Bill Arkin.

“On the domestic level, this is unprecedented,” he says. “I think it's the beginning of enormous problems and enormous mischief for the military.”

“The documents tell me that military intelligence is back conducting investigations and maintaining records on civilian political activity. The military made promises that it would not do this again,”

“The military has the right to protect its installations, and to protect its recruiting services,” says Pyle. “It does not have the right to maintain extensive files on lawful protests of their recruiting activities, or of their base activities,” he argues.

3. I Read Today
That they monitor websites where peace-activists gather, so I bet DU is being monitored. I thought it would really bother me that I am being monitored here, but I actually didn't feel that way, surprisingly enough. I just laughed to myself & thought, Hey, Pentagon, thanks for *caring*! Hee, hee! Usually, people ignore me. Glad to know that I'm no longer an anonymous blip!

"George Lotz, a 30-year career DOD official and former U.S. Air Force colonel, held the post of Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Oversight from 1998 until his retirement last May. Lotz, who recently began a consulting business to help train and educate intelligence agencies and improve oversight of their collection process, believes some of the information the DOD has been collecting is not justified."

It's starting to become crystal clear that the "war in Terror"
is all about turning America into a full fledged Police State.

8. The military has to protect it's interests.
Which means the military must continue to get funding that is more than the entire rest of the world combined.

They have to make sure 'We The People' do not ever get close to National Health Care, because it would rob them of their excessive funding. After all, a lot of money to be made in the Military Industrial Complex after a career in the military, and the government already provides them with health care (top of command gravy train, the grunts get the left over scraps).
