I don't watch the MSM so I don't know what they're referring to. Is someone trying to end Christmas as a Federal Holiday? All our state buildings have Christmas trees on the front lawn, so that seems doubtful. Heck, I'm an atheist and I have a Christmas wreath on my front door and a nativity scene on my mantle; it's a family tradition and part of my heritage, but no one has tried to steal either the wreath or the ceramic baby Jesus. First, they complained about Macy's policy of having their employees say "Happy Holidays." Actually, the phrase originally meant "Merry Christmas, Happy New Year & Hope you had a good Thanksgiving." It morphed into a way to greet people without offending them if they didn't celebrate Christmas. Many cities have begun celebrating the season without saying "Christmas"--lots of people like the lights, the songs, etc. Nobody has EVER questioned the right of private citizens to use whatever greeting they prefer or to put nativity scenes in their front yard.
