My new years resolution no more fox news or right wing radio crap
Starting Janurary first I promise to make my life as fox free as possible. I wont watch fox, the asshat Hannity, or the serial liar Bill O'Reilly. I promise to hit these bastards where they live in there ratings and wont give them any more attention than they deserve. We can get enough of thier bs through snippets on Keith O and Air America anyhow why give the walking slime bag hannity any more air time? So who else is with me no more fox news, limbaugh, hannity or oreilly once the new year starts.

1. I'm way ahead of you
I've never listened to or watched any of them.

I listened to a bit of Savage once to convince my officemate he's bad. Luckily for me, he made my point by making a racist statement in the middle of a diatribe on something that had nothing to do with race.

8. Same Here
I couldn't care less what they say. I've heard it all before. The song hasn't changed for nearly 20 years. The old line about "know your enemy" is a canard. When their tune hasn't been altered in the least, it's not necessary to hear it for the umpteenth time.

6. I agree and I am with you on this DanCa
I stopped for a while. I really thought that it didn't make a difference but it does-it bleeds into your head and won't get out. I stopped for a few months and recently started tuning back in when I am in my car.

Trust me you will love not thinking about their BS or running through counter talking points in your head. It will also open up your head to really seeing issues outside of the norms of the talking points.

3. None of that right now.
The only time I've listened to a rw radio show was when we were driving across the country and I was looking for an NPR or AAR station to listen to-and as soon as I realized what it was, I tuned to another station or turned off the radio.

5. Fox is Blocked
Every TV in my house has faux news blocked on it and it's been blocked ever since I set up the cable box. The only reason I know what Hannity looks like is just in case I see that piece of shit on the street so I can spit in his face.

propaganda free sound bytes. I haven't watched for over a year and haven't missed a thing that is important to know.

10. I hate to say this, but I
still tune in to Limbaugh, Ingraham and Liddy from time to time and plan on doing so in 2006 and beyond. Like it or not, it does pay to know what the enemy is thinking or what lines they've been fed by El Drugbo.

On the other hand, I can't bring myself to listen to Hannity or Savage, and since I don't pay for cable TV I have never seen Faux News.

13. He does, but
not often enough for me to know what El Drugbo's latest pet cause is. Usually there's one new one and four or five recycled ones to fill up the rest of the three hours.

15. how could you be "informed" listening to compulsive liars?
Edited on Wed Dec-14-05 03:39 PM by LSK
Yes Rush is featured on "Wait wait, dont lie to me". Thats about the only time I listen to that worthless piece of trash.

If you are listening to them to get a feel of where the right wing is coming from, I have been there and you are truly more effective if you are informed with the FACTS.

Start listening to AAR TODAY.

Am I the only one who didn't know about this site? How long has it been up, and how much needless suffering have I endured by not knowing about it?

AUGH!

And here's one for those who want to find out what Fox News is doing without having to watch it:

Edited to add: David Brock is a regular guest on Al Franken's show every Wednesday.

22. Thanks for this, sincerely.
I know little about Fox News frist-hand, and haven't had the stomach to try to find out. These sites you showed me today were bookmarked as fast as sites can be. Thanks a million :)

14. I have listened to Faux news NEVER. I have heard RW radio hatred
spew ONLY as long as it took me to change the channel. You need to alter your brain chemistry if you can even stomach this crapola. I have NEVER been able to, so thankfully, no New Years Resolution is ever going to be 'necessary' for me along those lines. I frankly pity you.

Both MM4A and Newshounds websites give you all the coverage on all the crap that every one of those Fox A-Holes are discharging without you having to personally enter the O'Reilly Fartor's No Shame Zone, or having to listen to any one of those rhetorically redundant right wing retarded bastards starting with that nutbag Spawn Innsanitty, and ending with Mr."Oxy-Moron" himself...."Painkillers give me such a Rush" Limbaugh.
