Who knew that the lady who questioned * on 9-11 and Iraq...
...was a shill? Of course! Nobody attends his speeches or gets to ask questions if they haven't been fully vetted ahead of time. Her question was a pure set-up for this speech.

1. Do you have a link or source?
I thought it was strange that he actually talked to real Americans.

5. I LOVE her response!
Woodville said in an interview afterward that she felt Bush ducked her question. "He must think we're morons," she said. "There is no link, and he knows it as well as I. And I and others in the audience are insulted that he thinks we don't read, don't think, don't have any opinions."

7. Judging from her response to his answer...
... she seems like anything but a shill.

Some of the five questions Bush later took from the audience also challenged his assertions. Faeze Woodville, 44, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Iran and now living in nearby Strafford, Pa., asked why he keeps linking the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, to the Iraq war despite no evidence of a direct connection. The president said "9/11 changed my look on foreign policy" and he learned "that if we see a threat we've got to deal with it."

Woodville said in an interview afterward that she felt Bush ducked her question. "He must think we're morons," she said. "There is no link, and he knows it as well as I. And I and others in the audience are insulted that he thinks we don't read, don't think, don't have any opinions."

4. I just read the article — how do you figure she's a "shill"? NT

8. I'll agree that she doesn't appear to be a shill, at first glance.
But it seemed as if Bush's speech, today, had been written precisely to reiterate the points that he made in response to her question. Add to that the fact that Bush's audiences are always staged-managed, and the whole thing starts to smell, imho.

9. I agree with the posts above — from her response she seems like anything
BUT a shill.

11. Maybe I'm paranoid...
...but, if she was a set-up, how perfectly Rovian it would have been--right down to her angry after-comment. Chimpy had a very glib non-answer at the ready, too, which he delivered without missing a beat.

I'm probably wrong but I keep going back to the bankable fact that, in a Chimpy Q & A, the microphone would never have been handed to anyone who wasn't hand-picked and meticulously managed by Bush's perception management people. And, if it was given to a renegade, in error, was it just a coincidence that his response formed the basis of the fourth speech, in a set of pre-planned speeches, that he would be giving only two days later?

But, then, I'm too cynical and tinfoilish for my own good, sometimes.

10. I respectfully disagree
There were two questions posed to *, that seemed genuine and real.

First one:

http://www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ%2FMGArticle%2FWSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1128768674451

QUESTION: Since the inception of the Iraq war, I'd like to know the approximate total of the Iraqis who have been killed. And by Iraqis, I include civilians, military, police, insurgents, translators...

If you notice that she refers to all Iraqi's not just "civilians".

Second question:

http://www.journalnow.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=WSJ%2FMGArticle%2FWSJ_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1128768674451

QUESTION: Mr. President, I would like to know why it is that you and others in your administration keep linking 9/11 to the invasion of Iraq when no respected journalists or Middle Eastern expert confirmed that such a link existed.

BUSH: What did she - I missed the question. Sorry.

I beg your pardon. I didn't hear you. Seriously.

QUESTION: I would like to know why you and others in your administration invoke 9/11 as justification for the invasion of Iraq when no respected journalists or other Middle Eastern experts confirm that such a link existed.

BUSH: Oh, I appreciate that.

IMO, the two women were not shill, just * gave BS roundabout answers that were preprepared before.
