Bush to Brian Williams: "Everyone thought Saddam had weapons of..."
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 11:23 PM by Hissyspit
"mass destruction."

Just keep repeating it.
The Big Lie.
Williams didn't challenge him on that.
Did anyone keep count of how many lies * told in that interview?

Oh, by the way, Bush also said that the Constitution is a "living document."
Isn't that what "activist judges" think?

Williams said in his summing-up that this interview was "an experiment" for this administration in interaction with the media. ????????????????????????

1. Great experiment - sounds like he sat there
and mouthed platitudes and lies for an hour. And Williams acted as straight man. I didn't watch and I'm glad I didn't. Thanks to all who suffered through it in order to inform the rest of us.

2. That's so true!
* thinks the constitution upholds his right to lie to the people and to torture people at will--anywhere that is convenient.
I don't like the idea of the Press and the President engaging in interaction when the Press is embedded with the Pres.--at least not in this opaque administration. They aren't buddies. That is the point of it all. The press is there to probe for information and to report the information to the public--not to act like a bunch of buddies interacting for the entertainment of the masses.

5. I also think the Constitution is a living document.
To me, that means it's like a tree, growing upward, growing stronger, branching out to shelter more of us who need it, a living tree which bears the fruits of democracy and liberty.

To bush, it's like a snake and he wants to cut its head off.

6. Brian Williams- terrible job
Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 11:16 PM by MrTriumph
Egad! What a fraud. That's an interview? Where's Mike Wallace when you need him?

Say, What's up with Bush's oversized suitcoat? He could have hidden a bullet-proof vest, two-way radio & Jeff Gannon under it.

7. Everyone fucking did NOT think that, you GDMFSOB. Here's PROOF.
WHY THE CIA THINKS BUSH IS WRONG
The president says the US has to act now against Iraq. The trouble is, his own security services don't agree.

I was honoured that she included the three news articles that I've been citing for the past three years, and her list was so much more comprehensive that I saved it to my Palm.

Everyone on DU should bookmark it.

ON EDIT: Whups, credit goes to LTD's husband. Thanks, Mr. LTD!

14. I'm copying it again.
I don't know where she is lately. I'm not sure what's happened with her husband, either. Am I wrong in thinking he is in Iraq now?

11. Yes, until Clinton blew most of the weapons up. Even Cheney, Condi, and
Powell said that Iraq was not threat going into the 2000 elections. My, my...what a webb they weave.

13. All This Asshat Can Do Is Talk About Himself
This was pointed out recently and a very telling observation. When this fukstick makes a joke it's always at someone else's expense...rarely, if ever, is it directed inward. This ass can't look at himself with humor...so you know he can't deal with reality either. Totally out of touch....and the corporate media is working overtime to try to put lipstick on this pig...we'll see how well it works.

Australia? I thought Aussie was a good ally of ours. Where are they at? Isn't the guy who's their president just like another Bush? So where's he at?
