Brian Williams, NBC Nightly News Anchor: Sean Hannity's Pal
NBC News effectively gave up any pretense of impartiality today when Brian Williams was a guest on the Sean Hannity radio show earlier today. Rabid Bush apologist and supporter Hannity describes his relationship with Brian Williams as "Long time friends."

There was a fifteen minute mutual admiration bit on Hannity's daily right wing propaganda show in which Williams frothed about the President like a school girl on prom night. It was as if he were either thinking that rational people would never be aware of his words and appearance on one of the most vehemently self acknowledged right wing conservative shows in America today -or- that NBC had decided that they do not want, need or care about American viewers who still celebrate the truth and still enjoy thinking for themselves.

It would be fine with me if Williams had an opinion or "magazine" type news show, but he is in the driver's seat for the venerable 6:00 news.

Me? I'll email the NBC head honchos and boycott their affiliates until they can serve the public trust granted them by the FCC. I'll miss Kieth.

1. I thought I had read that he was in their back pocket

and he sure was chinning and grinning with GW.

Even then, Bush showed his colors - he was an emperor without clothes.

4. Williams is an empty suit

One of the funniest things I ever read was in an article about him when he was first hired to replace the guy who sounded drunk all the time. Some NBC bigwig stated that Williams would be well received in the red states because "...he likes NASCAR and owns (get this) a pellet gun". A pellet gun?!?! Jesus effin christ my granddaughter owns a pellet gun. This was supposed to make him look macho?

5. Williams is a repuke ass kisser from way back.
I remember watching NBC during the millenium celebrations, and President Clinton was pictured at one of them. That asshat Williams went on and on about how Monica and impeachment was going to forever shadow his presidency. I almost kicked right through the TV. I NEVER watch NBC news, and rarely their programming either.

6. I will *never* watch Williams.
During the flap over the outgoing Clinton administration, he and Andrea Mitchell had a regular little gossip party about the terrible damage done, etc. It was thoroughly disgusting. For some odd reason, I was waiting for some little maid in uniform to come out and serve them tea.

8. bummer . . . i used to give him the benefit of the doubt,
especially after his katrina coverage. this kiss-kiss interview with dubya makes me nauseous. i refuse to watch the whole interview. i guess i will have to forego the nightly news, too, now.
