Check this out !! AFA propaganda attack against Progressive Insurance
Got hold of this propaganda email from AFA to its members. Check it out!

*Progressive Insurance Chairman Gives $8.5 Million To ACLU*

In one of his recent columns, Chuck Colson relates the following story.

In a Texas classroom, children were told to draw a tracing of
their foot, and then put a message on the drawing. One little girl
wrote "Jesus Loves Me" on hers. What happened next shows the
abysmal state of religious tolerance in America.

As Fox news anchor John Gibson relates in his new book, The War on
Christmas, the child's teacher ripped the tracing off the board.
"Don't you ever do this again," she said. The little girl burst
into tears.

When her outraged father called the school, nervous officials told the
child to make another tracing. She did so—but this time, instead
of scrawling "Jesus Loves Me," she drew a tiny cross that was so
small it was almost invisible.

Behind nearly every such incident you will find the ACLU. According to the New York Times, Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance, believes in the mission and work of the ACLU so much that he gave them $8.5 million.

Chairman Lewis' gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as:

- Removing nativity scenes from public property
- Banning songs such as Silent Night from schools
- Refusing to allow students to write about the Christian aspect of Christmas in school projects
- Renaming Christmas break Winter break
- Refusing to allow a city sponsored Christmas parade to be called a Christmas parade
- Not allowing a Christmas tree in a public school
- Renaming a Christmas tree displayed on public property a Holiday tree

In addition to their war on Christmas, the ACLU uses gifts like that from Chairman Lewis to:

- Sue states to force them to legalize homosexual marriage
- Force libraries to remove porn filters from their computers
- Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders
- Help legalize child pornography
- Legalize live sex acts in bars in Oregon
- Protect the North American Man Boy Love Association whose motto is "sex by eight or it is too late"
- Censor student led prayer at graduation
- Remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance
- Remove "In God We Trust" on our currency

Recommended action: If you have a Progressive Insurance policy, cancel it. If you don't have a Progressive policy, let Chairman Lewis know you will not be buying one. (We recommend you do not purchase Allstate Insurance. We will explain our recommendation in a future letter.)

Extremely important! Please forward this to your family and friends. The vast majority of them probably aren't aware of Chairman Lewis' gift to the ACLU.

Thanks for caring enough to get involved.

Sincerely,
Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman

1. You hear about these "incidents"
in emails like this, but I find it amazing that no town or school district is ever mentioned, and that no sources for the news story are ever found. Could they-gasp-be MAKING THIS UP??????

When I taught school, the Baptists in town had a Bible Club that met after school on school grounds. They were always pictured in the yearbook. This was in the '80s, and I don't recall any ACLU action about it.

6. In the weeks leading up to Teri Schiavo's death
AFA was touting a "news" story that new information "may" have been discovered that proves Michael Schiavo "may" have been abusing his wife before she ended up in a comatose state. Imagine what the lemmings did with that "news." Sad to think that "christians" intentionally shy away from the truth. Happy to think that if wildmon's religious beliefs are accurate, he will burn in hell for eternity.

16. Bosshog, I have a coworker who still believes Terri
could see and could talk and everything, and that she was "murdered". He's not a fundy, but someone who doesn't pay that close attention to news. These "incidents" are designed to appeal to people like him.

I also don't see any reference to protecting rush limbaugh's medical privacy on their list, do you?

==============

I just informed two friends last night of Progressive Insurance and they were quite pleased to hear about them. :)

edit: a tracing of their foot? Isn't that bizarre? What, they took their shoes and socks off to do this? Don't most children trace their hand?

5. Is there a list anywhere
of who insures the AFA, who they bank with, which corporations they do business with. I'd like to boycott all of them. I already try to give business to any company these assholes call a boycott on, now I'd like to know which businesses I should avoid.

I'm going to have to look into Progressive Insurance.

7. Why does the AFA hate diversity? What is so threatening
about being considerate of the lifestyles of people who are not white Christians? Truth be told, I miss the lavish Christmas displays of my youth, but I grew up and learned that life was not all about me and my faith. The AFA hates America.

8. They don't like Allstate either . . .
In that case, I'm glad that I just got off the phone with my Allstate agent confirming an upgrade to my car policy.

11. Odd, they don't mention the teacher in Indiana fired for
mentioning "peace" a little too much in the classroom. Christians used to be proponents of peace. At least they claimed to be.

12. How is the ACLU tied to the anonymous little girl in the anonymous
Texas school? Anyone have evidence of this little girl's plight and what happened? I can't find anything.

The supporters of AFA have to be the most gullible on the planet to make the leap that the ACLU is behind all things evil. The email is the formulaic a) hit hard at emotions b) cite tenuous evidence to justify the initial punch at the heart c) ask for money.

14. Do what we say!
Ugh. The AFA is dumb beyond dumb, but even for them, well this is just stupid. The ACLU represents people when their Constitutional rights are threatened. They do this regardless of the person's own political affiliation or other beliefs. They even represent, uh, the sort of people who usually hate the ACLU.

Also, do they not want people to have car insurance or something? What if AFA members have insurance from that company, or it's all they can afford, or what have you? Asking them to give up their policies wold expose them to the dangers of having no insurance after an accident. Not a nice place in which to be. Anyway, don't they realize they could be hurting some of their own people?

Add to that the fact that the AFA is pretty much a horrible bunch of knuckleheads anyway...

You can't make this stuff up.

17. Love this point
"Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders"

Too bad they didn't realize that there was a few pedophiles who were in Executive positions in the Boy Scouts - ones who actively fought the acceptance of gays in the BSA.

Oh, and the pictures of naked kids? boys . . .
