I have to see these things to know what to think when O'LOOFAH and HANNITY shoot their wads off.

So. "Passion" for me was a torture flick. And now "Brokeback" is a soft porn flick. That's all, transmission ended.

Why is it important that the lovers are COWBOYS?

I submit, that it's important because it's a FANTASY about STRAIGHT somebodys being Gay.

I am one of the few who grokked Ang's movie about gals floating through the air.

That said, there have been MANY "Gay" movies/books/whatever before.

Now then, when I forced myself to see GIBSON's Passion, I didn't hurt myself, just saw a TORTURE FLICK.

When I read somebody's link to the short story the movie is based on, all I saw was SOFT PORN.

This was stated in the O.P. but the attackers chose to use diversion to attack. The parallel I draw from The Passion to this story is that the ONLY hook in it is the COWBOY angle. If it were about two artists in New York or San Francisco or Los Angeles there would be NO buzz about it. In fact, the characters (and author) would probably be attacked for denying their Gayness. A fair minded reader will see through the diversions. There is nothing I have to add to this. It will only be repetition, and the attackers will not be swayed by anything, so Mods, please put an end to this. Thank you.
