Apparently Faux pressures its affiliates
Edited on Mon Dec-12-05 01:44 AM by Oeditpus Rex
Just now on the San Francisco Faux station, KTVU, a story about the "controversial" decision by some churches to close on Christmas day was led with tape of * and Laura Lush walking into a D.C. church with the script (paraphrased), "President and Mrs. Bush are among the many Americans who go to church every Sunday." The tag was "Incidentally, the church President and Mrs. Bush attended today will be open on Christmas" — as if to imply that the *s go to a "good" church.

I've been watching this station since I was a kid and always respected its news above all other local stations. But I thought that piece smelled a bit of propaganda.

On edit: Two stories later, they've got tape of * inside the church, speechifyin' about "tyrrany" and presenting gift baskets to a couple of kids in (get this) red and blue Santa hats to present to patients at some hospital. (I didn't catch it all; I think it was a military hospital with wounded soldiers from Iraq.)

3. In order of most liberal, used to be 5,7, 2, 4.
Now, they all sound about the same to me. Have two cousins that work in news in two of those affiliates. It's pretty crazy for them.

4. Every Sunday? I don't think so
I thought it was common knowledge that Bush does NOT attend church every Sunday. The cover story being that he doesn't want to interfere with the worshippers with the security needed.

5. Going to church every Sunday hasn't helped him very much.
The entire story is troubling to me.

Where is Jesus when you need him? He would know what to do w/ the Pharisees in the 'Temple'.
