That pretty much sums up the climate of the people on the right, right now anyway.

They DEMAND to have independence and do whatever they like, just leave them alone. If they want to be around you, they will come to you.
Ex: I will say Merry Christmas to whomever I want.

They DEMAND that everyone else is a lap dog. Everyone else must obey their every command or be thumped with a fist.
Ex: YOU MUST SAY MERRY CHRISTMAS OR ELSE!!!

The first one isn't so bad, except for when it conflits with other people being cats too. But they want everyone else to be a lap dog, so that doesn't happen.

I truly feel an expansion of half-faced fascism in our country. They just can't have the fascism include them too.

1. More like rabid pit bulls who want everyone else to be obedient
lap dogs ( I say this as my needy, clingy Maine Coon cat whimpers at my feet, begging me to play with him). Repugs are full of aggression, paranoia and hostility these days. In their minds, it's their world, the rest of us are just being tolerated by them. They can attack us whenever they please, but if we protest-even mildly-they'll go in for the kill. We can't keep allowing them to get away with it; they hit us with a stick, we need to come back with a sledgehammer.
