Bastard Republicans!
I'm watching a hearing where victims of Katrina are telling their stories. One women, Dyan French, is an outstanding representative of the community, articulate and on fire.

A creepy Republican Rep, from Connecticut tried to say she didn't know what she was talking about because she couldn't see a levee that broke from her house. I didn't catch his name, but the racist prick was arrogant and didn't hide his hostility towards the Black witnesses.

If they run it again be sure to watch it. It's the most truth that has come our way since the hurricane hit.

1. He told her to stop speaking in tongues and answer.
he was a real jerk. I heard, It was a group from New Orleans that has accused the federal goverment of blowing up the levees to get rid of the poor people.

He was especially nasty in this forum though. I hope he's cast out next year.

6. Please don't call the Dome a concentration camp.
Answer. "If I put a dress on a pig, it's still a pig. I will call it for what it is."

10. It was another rep whose name I missed, but he was a
white Republican with glasses. He asked the victim of the dome, whom the exchange was with, if she understood what the history of concentration camps were. No people were gassed in the dome he said. She replied she had a college education and knew her history. People died in the dome because there was nothing to care for them with and the conditions were that of a concentration camp. She stuck by her statement.

I really need to see this again. Maybe someone will have a capture of it.

15. Did you hear how condescending he got telling the
witnesses that they were very smart. Yet, he almost sneered when he said it.

Plus, he was condescending with his 'asking a favour' of Ms French.

14. Wow, I guess *he* doesn't understand the history of concentration camps
When Germany first started the concentration camps, they were used as prisons and for slave labor; mass extermination came later on. Early deaths in the concentration camps were frequently from starvation, disease, and exposure: causes directly related to not having anything to care for people with.

notice how they wanted to make sure ...they put on the record who they
blamed, they made sure that ask the male because he was not sounding disagreeable.
They tried to act like it was unbelievable that guns were drawn and people were killed. They really believe they have the authority to tell them what to say, it was a hearing to tell the truth.

19. That was Chris Shays, and yes, he IS a bastard repuke! I watched
that hearing twice last week. I could NOT believe the way he treated Ms. French. If nothing is done to help NO after that hearing, G-d help this country. The US could end up looking like a third world country from coast to coast. Between the brush fires and earthquakes of CA., the tornadoes in the Midwest and the hurricanes on the eastern and southern coasts, this country could be completely destroyed, never to be rebuilt...if that's their agenda, if that's what they want to do...ESPECIALLY to BLUE States. They do have THAT kind of control over this.

The repukes appeared to be bored as hell, just going along with the game and waiting for the minute they could all leave. It was an eye opener, wasn't it? The repukes have an agenda for NO and I don't think it includes those poor people. :(
