>>>On the same day that he enthusiastically announced the appointment of Carol Corrigan as a state Supreme Court justice, Schwarzenegger said he was agonizing over whether to spare Williams' life.
"That's just part of being governor, is to make those kinds of decisions," he said. "And there are always in this job wonderful moments like today. This is a wonderful moment, and I love this moment. I told Carol we should take a picture in front of the Christmas tree, because it's that kind of a thing."

Yes, we get it, we get it, Arnold, it's a CHRISTMAS tree. How impromptu. Stick to "acting" and not writing, because that "ad lib" was as subtle as a heart attack. No worries, though, your Rovian talking points came through loud and clear, even though they were said in the same breath as discussing a death penalty. Peace on earth.
My favorite "CHRISTMAS" moment this week, however, was a Wolf Blizter interview of that perrenial sourpuss Mary Matalin, who began and concluded her on-air time barging in with a smarmy "MERRY CHRISTMAS" that would have frozen over Honolulu.
Thanks, GOP, you are really making the holiday, oops Christmas, season brighter with your latest non-issue media blast.
