12. Poor Barney!
He looks haunted and desperate in those photos. You can see the thought balloon forming "Will somebody please get me out of here?!"

Scotties, unlike other gentler breeds, are not overly sentimental. They have a low tolerance for rough handling and can be wary of people with neurological disabilities. W. falls in both categories, so I'm not surprised Barney always looks alarmed when locked in his owner's embrace.

And that's the point! :)

If I had a public image problem, ol' Charlie (my border terrier) would be my spokesman 24/7, because he's much better looking than I am.
