Merry Hypocritical Christmas....

and I hope James Dobson's church experiences an act of guerilla warfare.

From The Week, Volume 5, Issue 233, "Dobson: Man on a Mission"

Gil Alexander-Moegerle, a former Focus vice president, says Dobson wants to remake the U.S. as a Christian nation, with the government enforcing strict, Bible-based morality. "He's a tremendous threat to the separation of church and state," says Alexander-Moegerle. "The phrase he used in executive staff meetings was, 'I want to wage guerilla warfare. I love the thought of mortars raining down on the Capitol and everybody running to their binoculars and not being able to find me.'"

Do unto others...

1. I heard the other day that these wacko christians
are hoping to return to biblical justice and laws. That means local citizens get to stone an adulteress and make it a community event. Of course they don't stone male accomplices. Not kidding at all, these people are very, very crazy. Bush plays up to them and encourages their crazy behavior.

I wish they would choose another name for their religion besides Christian. As everyone knows, Christ never stoned the adulteress nor did he allow the community to stone her. He who has no sin and all that.

2. This man, and others of his ilk, need to be locked in padded rooms
and heavily medicated before they cause any more harm. They pose significant risks to the nation.

6. What is particularly troubling is that.....
the money laundering network which feeds various cells of al-Qaida may also be tied in with various operatives of the CNP (Council of National Policy) of which Dobson is an important member. al-Qaida, which literally translates to "The Base," may be a larger base of Fundamentalism than anyone realizes. Notice how Focus on the Family hides behind a cloak of appearing to be Evangelical in nature, when their true goals appear to be Fundamentalist.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fundamentalism

"Fundamentalist" describes a movement to return to what is considered the defining or founding principles of the religion.

Warning- the following website may be motivated by conspiracy theory, but if the facts presented on this page are true, the implications are chilling:

http://www.parapolitics.info/phorum/read.php?f=31&i=624&t=624

“Former State Intelligence Coordinating Board (BAKIN) chief A.C. Manulang has said that Kuwaitd citizen Omar Al-Faruq, a terrorist suspect who was arrested in Bogor, West Java, on June 5, 2002 and handed over to the US three days later, is a CIA-recruited agent.

<snip>

“Al-Faruq was an enigma for us, being picked up in Bogor (where my wife and I live) and spirited away, openly by the CIA. This technically was a violation of Indonesian law (at the time).

<snip>

“The Spanish investigation has revealed that two individuals involved in allegedly supplying explosives to the alleged 3/11 Madrid terrorists were police informers. More specifically Rafa Zouhier, was a police informer to an elite unit of the Guardia Civil known as Unidad Central de Operaciones, UCO). The second individual, Jose Emilio Suarez Trashorras, was an inforrmer to the National Police Corps, more specifically the narcotics brigade of Aviles (Cuerpo Nacional de Policia del jefe de la Brigada de Estupefacientes de Aviles).”

<snip>

This would correspond with Rumsfeld’s P2OG network, described in this article by Chris Floyd in Counterpunch:

According to a classified document prepared for Rumsfeld by his Defense Science Board, the new organization-<>the “Proactive, Preemptive Operations Group (P2OG)”-will carry out secret missions designed to “stimulate reactions” among terrorist groups, provoking them into committing violent acts which would then expose them to “counterattack” by U.S. forces.

THERE'S MUCH MORE

7. I fully believe Dobson is a Fundamentalist
Regardless of what he labels himself. If he were given the power he would turn this country into one big theocracy, ruled by the Bible (or rather, his distorted version of the Bible). And I wouldn't be surprised what other deviant atrocities he could cook up either--I don't think he is fully rational. Hence my belief that he needs to be put away.

3. Why don't they go by their true identity...
They shouldn't be called Christians.

Leviticans would be a more accurate title since they hold to the book of Leviticus rather than Mathew.

5. I agree with you.
These people are fouling the name of the man they claim to worship. I ran across the phrase OTP or Old Testament Paulists somewhere - I think it was here at DU. It seems to me to be a good fit since their pronouncements reek of Yahweh and that dreadful Paul and do not even whisper the decency of Christ. They have created a religion which has nothing to do with Jesus and used it to make his name a hissing and a byword. Would it not be a lovely thing if the man they disgrace damned them all to the Hell of their own imaginings?

4. So much for the Jews...
