So, how will those in power (corporate execs and their paid-for lackeys) kill us all so quickly that resource usage is heavily reduced, without being irreparably damaging to the global economy? Resources such as coal, gas, oil...

Or, given all the issues at work, will they simply let things crash, find their way to nix us, then start over anew?

We've seen their results of Katrina.

We've seen they've done nothing since 9/11.

They probably allowed 9/11 to happen.

They're not investigating price gouging.

They dump possible-catastrophy upon possible-catastrophy upon possible-catastrophy in the media, probably trying to make us all commit suicide. (most of these things being some new ecological or virulant threat)

Offshoring only works slowly on Americans, while exponentially worsening the resource usage problem overseas. (never mind the risks to national security by selling off jobs, materials, how to make materials, et cetera, to anybody - including purportedly mortal enemies...)

So, what is it to be?

They don't even know how to commit a mass culling?! Maybe that's why * looks more bizarre each day?

2.  I've talked with a
friend about this for 3+ yrs now.

He has reluctantly seen the light. He used
to trust/believe Authority Figures.

Whatever they do, it will be a biological,
quick, vicious transmission yet overall,
a short lifespan before it burns out in
a particular area.

If too many are still alive in an area,
another dose will be released.

3. Hey, Hypno ...
I've been asking that question for years now.

Funny, I was at the store today and some "little old lady" came up behind me with just a few items. I asked her if she wanted to get in front of me, she says no, and doesn't want to use the automated check-out. That leads off a discussion of what people are supposed to do when technology takes over for the average Joe & Jane and what's going to happen if the electricity goes out. Unfortunately, we didn't get to finish as her husband found a shorter checkout lane.

Anyway, time to dust off some theories, as this is two times in one day someone has broached this subject.

4. You mean they might be *really* incompetent?
Incompetent con artists.
So they did some things right: 9-11, invasion of iraq, NO.
But other things are failing: the occupation of iraq and the actually finishing us all off...

It's a possibility :)
