"Sorry, we're outta time".
It's depressing to know that in this time, when we need MORE discussion, and more information about the world around us, and we "seem to have" SEVERAL 24/7 "news" networks, they seem to always be "out of time".

For the folks who want escapist entertainment, there is plenty to choose from , on the other 478 (guessing) channels. There simply HAS to be room for a place where real thinkers can congregate and try to educate us.

I am not even against conservatives having their own place (although they already seem to have a few), but there really neds to be a place where time is not the issue. The ISSUES need to be the issue, and if it takes 3 hours to discuss a particular event, piece of legislation,or problem, then there should be a place for it.

This idea is what drove the bus in the founding of PBS, but of course it has been neutered over the years, and children's programming plays a lot of the time.

There needs to be a place (or a few places) where interested people can tune in at any time of the day, and see panel discussions of the problems we are living with..

The soundbytes and screaming head shows offer nothing except a fat paycheck for the "hosts".

The format we need is partisan particpatory broadcasting. We LIVE in a partisan world...one where even Christmas has become an "issue". We can no longer pretend that what we get now is "news" or even "newsworthy".

We need to take the next step and insist that we start getting what we need.. We are being force-fed canned frosting, when what we really need is some plain old unfrosted cake.

1. 100% agree
and it mainly occurs when a Democratic speaker, (who is on the program) waits to rebuttal the trash the right wing is tossing out......really ...

how many times has a Democratic analyst ever started to answer and the host always cuts in....when a right winger speaks.........very very rarely does the host butt in..........this gets me so freaking pissed off.......

I haven't even watched the news .in at lest 2 weeks.........I get what I need to know right here on this site.

as far as the english-speaking stations went. I am a night owl, so when I watched tv, that was all there was to watch. The panel discussions were not "regulated"..I actually watched one about Schwarzenegger (this was during the recall) that must have lasted 2 hours..with every few interruptions for commercials.. and what did we get here?? where it mattered? "Ahlll be baaaack"
