Bush's brain has melted: video :-)
The weird thing is that looking at this video
of Bush from 10 years ago, I think he was even
more obnoxious, dangerous and unlikeable when
his brain was actually working!!

1. Not unlike the Star Wars movies...
...the stupider he gets, the more popular Bush seems to get with his committed (and ever narrowing) fan base. Except in this trilogy, Jar Jar is the Emperor.

(I didn't say trilogy did I? O dear Lord, let's hope it ain't that)

2. I knew that he was pretty much incoherent now, but I didn't
realize that there had been such a marked deterioration. This is truly scary.

5. When he was running for Governor, he seemed like a half-bright frat boy...
Far from "intelligent." But he's definitely gone down hill since then.

9. To be fair to the shrub, I think it's the presidency
When you are a nobody running for governor of Texas, you can speak more or less extemporaneously. Presidents learn very quickly that millions of people parse every word -- from political enemies, to armies of journalists, for foreign powers. They are taught very quickly that every single word must be scripted. This makes them all look like they have lost cognitive ability.

Clinton was a rare exception. He was smart enought to remember what he could and could not say, and reckless enough to sometimes speak truthfully and extemporaneously.

I think that part of shrub's problem is that he is overthinking everything he says, and he brain power is simply to puny to do that and actually speak at the same time.
