2. Rove was drop out from Utah
Not from Yale, his only hook there is the Federalist Society neocons festering thereabouts. I went to Yale with John Tierney. Had no idea what a scumbag in waiting he was.

5. Oh jeez...
I'm always in and around the Yale campus. Hope the "evilness" didn't rub off on me. All of the clubs/bars/shops/restaurants I go to are around Yale plus my sis and mom work there. Oh no. I'm corrupt. ;)

9. Boston is responsible for the moral decline of America
so as long as Yale steers clear of that title it can certainly be "the center of all things evil"...

11. * supposedly hates Yale ...
He accused the other students of looking down on him because of his "Texas drawl". Probably they knew an arrogant phony when they saw one! And then the school went to merit-based admissions right after they let him in, so his little brother Jeb didn't make the cut. The fact they went co-ed also rankled him ... there's actually an eyewitness account of * whining to a female alum about how he felt the school kind of went downhill after they let in women! And then Georgie felt that Yale waited "too long" before offering his dad an honorary degree.

18. he did, but * felt the school should offer an honorary doctorate too ...

And he took it upon himself to feel offended that Yale didn't rush to give one to Bush Sr.

In *'s case, Yale (under pressure perhaps?) invited him to their convocation ... and he hadn't even completed his first term yet. I recall that many Yale students and faculty felt this was inappropriate, and boycotted the ceremony.

12. It takes a "diverse" student population....and made
Edited on Thu Dec-08-05 11:28 PM by KoKo01
great efforts when it went "co-ed" to take many scholarship students back in the late 60's. Bill Clinton was a scholarship studen in the Law School...and many others who weren't like Bill..

Maybe if one looked at Harvard's representation in the Right Wing Think tanks, though...one might think Harvard is worse than Yale...

And, Princeton for Conservatives was like a Mecca in times past..but, now Paul Krugman teaches there...

University of Chicago bred the Leo Strauss Neo-Cons and a whole generation of "Supply Side" economists who (just in my humble opinion, have wrecked America's economy). So it's hard to say what school might have more of a hand in what we see out there today that we don't like.

There "IS" something odd about all the Yalies around in Government these days though.
