I keep thinking, who the hell does it go out to? It seems to be a bad idea because it says the WH wishes a happy holidays to some Americans but not all of them. And if it's going to campaign contributors or supporters only then that should come from Bush's campaign fund or his own pocket as should any of his personal cards.
I know this seems to be a tradition but it seems like a pointless waste of American dollars if we're selecting which Americans deserve a happy holidays wish from our government leader whom he is supposed to be accountable to and whom pays his salary.
He was Air Force and operated the airstrip there when Lyndon was in town. Everyone on the support mission got one. I understood that literally tens of thousands were sent out annually.
the first year they were in the WH. We certainly weren't big donors either. Don't know if this WH would consider sending one to small donors like the Clinton's did.
