11. reid says, QUOTE:
Edited on Thu Jul-17-03 10:43 AM by julka
"Is the senator from ND aware that there is a website that the president has? I'm sure that the senator is aware of that, zat right? yeah. Well, I'm aware of the fact that there was a part of that website that's no longer---that you can no longer get to it; and basically, it was behind the scenes--that's what it was entitled. And I hold up in front of the senator now---something that was on the website that you could go to, you can't anymore. It's talking about how the president prepares the SOTU message."

from the tape, almost exactly word for word /\.

Reid then shows the president going over the speech WORD by WORD.
he reads from a screen shot:

"and it says under this (picture), 'working at his desk in the oval office, president bush reviews the SOTU address LINE BY LINE, WORD by WORD'!!!!!!!!"

LINE BY LINE, WORD by WORD!!!!! QUOTE!!

maybe that's what he was talking about.....that particular picture.

he says again that this particular picture was taken off the website.

so that means a picture with the above caption is the one to look for

14. I'd like to see Bush's notes....
The pics at the WH site have descriptions underneath the pics, one of the pics has this quote:

"Sketching notes in the margin of speech drafts, President Bush rewrites portions of the address in the Oval Office Jan. 23, 2003".

I personally would like to see what Bush wrote in the margins next to those "sixteen words".

This is not in slideshow format, and I can't see the original captions.

I can't check my .swf file of SOTU because I can't open it, but I do have it.

Edit: I found the original captions. There are only 8 photos, and none is captioned "word by word".

24. SOMETHING IMPORTANT
no one seems to have picked up on - when Kofi A. and Chimp were seated at WH and Chimp said "I would not have put that in the speech if I thought it was not credible" or something to that effect - I was floored, he actually said "I" he admitted to editing the speech and NO one picked up on it.

27. of course not.......that's why when I saw Reid, I put this up
they have NO excuse to ignore it now.

back to the Clinton axiom.......you KNOW what they'd have done with this a few years ago.

that said, remember when WJC lost his teleprompter during a State of union speech, wasn't it? he just winged it, and, IIRC, nobody knew the difference as it unfolded.

isn't that correct?

would you give just about anything to see something like that happen to the monkeyboy?

If he was attentive in 2002, is the chimpster still in the loop. One would think the good folks in the heart land could make that logical step in thinking, but don't count on it.

They'd like us to believe he vets the speech line by line, word by word - FINE. We'll believe that he does that, every time.
