THis DOES remind me of a story tho, of the Late Gonzo journalist Hero Hunter S. Thompson.. he was writing a story for the Rolling Stone in the old days about Nixxon and mentioned that he wanted to kill the son of a bitch..

Well, the editor called Hunter and said, "Hey man, you can't SAY THAT! It's a CRIME to threaten the President.."

Hunter asked, "Well, what CAN I say then?.. I HATE that bastard and I want to see him dead.."

The editor said, "Hmmm.. you can write something more metaphorical, something that suggests harm I suppose and get away with that.."

If for nothing else the man has ever done or written, I've always loved him for that statement, gotten me through many a dark time in politics, just the image with the names changed to protect my innocence is enough..

I actually gave my 11 month old son the middle name of "Hunter" in honor of one of the greatest writers of our time, tho I'm going to have a hell of a time explaining how Thompson "checked out".. maybe I'll loosen the kid up with a nice Kurt Cobain fairy story when he's older first.. like when he's about 25 :)
