Clinton and China.......what's the truth
I can see there are much "hotter" issues to be read tonight but I would like some help please. In political chatrooms, I keep hearing republicans saying that Clinton "sold out" the United States in his relationship with China. I did a search engine check on the subject and found numerous sites that say he released or made available certain, otherwise secret technology to China. Also there was something about him wanting China to agree to some specific rules as a result of becoming a member of the World Trade Organization. There was the long, on going accusation of improper Chinese financial contributions to one or both Clinton elections but I'm having a lot of trouble with all this. One site I found was using sources from FOX News Network which blows them right out of the water and there was also an overall conclusion that China had recieved more information, help or other influence in the past two decades then all of the Clinton administration put together. The main problem I have is that if there was real wrong doing here why didn't I hear more of it and why on earth didn't the republicans pounce on that to impeach Clinton rather then their stupid sex scandle?
Hey I want to know how to stick it right back to these republicans but I can't unless I am prepared and knowledgeable. Can anyone please help me here? This is important to me and my other democrat friends. Thank You very much.

1. "Democrat" friends?
Suspect phrasing.

Why bother? They couldn't dredge up anything but a consensual sex act which was none of their business.

George Bush gave the Chinese the gift of one of our top secret spy planes and got it back in small pieces. They are now creating technology which can block our radars and other tracking technologies and selling the results to Al Qaeda.

4. I doubt China's selling to Al Qaeda

The Chinese government has been trying to take out Al Qaeda for YEARS. They hate them because they're a religious sect that often tries to get into China to stir up problems. I doubt that they would sell Al Qaeda technology to help them along in doing so. Besides, it wouldn't make sense anyway -- Al Qaeda is a militant religious group and China isn't exactly the loudest supporter of religious freedoms.

8. Absolutely correct.
China is no friend of Al Qaeda......they have their entire Western Border to worry about. The last thing they want to do is help forment a surge in Islamic fundimentalism in their western provinces.

2. China has had access to Russian technology
all these years...and the Russians were first satellite in space, first man in space, first woman in space, first walk in space, first spacestation and so on.

And practically everything you use everyday was originally invented by the Chinese...from paper and calculators...to rockets.

Nobody ever said the Chinese were stupid...they didn't need anyone's help.

Excuses, excuses.

Be prepared to speak Chinese at the customs office on Mars.

3. Your surmize is correct
If they actually had stuff on him, they would have used it.

The "sensitive" information leak was putatively about designs for tactical nukes and related testing data.

That being as it may, apparently if the leak occurred, which is still in doubt, the actusl leak would have occurred under Bush I.

It was uncovered during Clinton's administration, so they tried to hang it on him.

6. I agree with your gut
if they didn't find anything, there's probably nothing there.

Regarding sticking it to the freepers, I think it's an exercise in futility. They have an infinite well of rebuttals out there on the Web.

If this is a real issue, it's probably for the historians at this point. Clinton isn't in office anymore.

7. The truth is...
...any freeper who is dredging up "Clinton and China" in 2003 has gotten REALLY desperate.

I mean, that didn't even fly when the GOP was desperately searching for ANYTHING to charge Bill with.

"I keep hearing republicans saying that Clinton "sold out" the United States in his relationship with China."
So when they had the impeachment hearings how come there wasn't word one said in public about it? Answer: It was HORSESHIT. In fact, it was such horseshit that Juanita Broaddrick's nonsense seemed written in stone in comparison...and Juanita's charges were horseshit.

Put it BACK on the bastards..if there was anything to it, why didn't the Republicans even MENTION it during impeachment?

10. Thanks Folks. You really came through for me
Thanks folks: You really came through for me. I had thought this China leak had first happened under Bush1 and of course if there had been anything there if would have been brought in by truck loads in the impeachment. Which, as we know now it wasn't. Thanks again. I am very confident now to "stick it" to the freepers.

9. I seem to recall Chinese agents who were fundraiser's for
Republicans in SoCal.....and compromising our FBI in the process?

I wouldn't concern myself with Clinton's actions in regards to China...most Chinese I know think quite highly of Clinton...these same people think Bush is an arrogant bastard that is looking to start WW3.
