Russia waits for India's response to bomber proposal

PAVEDNIKI (Moscow Region), December 7 (RIA Novosti) - India has not yet replied to Russia's proposal to sell the Tu-22-M3E Russian bomber, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said Wednesday.

"The Indian side has not provided a reply since we made the proposal a day ago," Ivanov, who is also Russia's defense minister, told journalists.

Russia proposed that India buy the planes instead of leasing them. "Leasing won't work due to a number of technicalities," Ivanov said.

India and Russia have a long history of military cooperation. The two countries are currently working on contracts worth $10 billion. Notable deals in recent years include a contract for the modernization and sale of the Admiral Gorshkov aircraft carrier and deals on Sukhoi fighters and the T-90 battle tank.

It appears Russia is operating one huge arms bazaar lately. Trying to compete with us I guess?

1. Hmmmm...an alliance of Russia, China, and India would lash together....
...a pretty considerable opponent to the imperial plans of the NeoCon Junta. For instance:

1. Russia has nuclear missiles, excellent fighter-planes, raw materials, scientific expertise, and oil reserves;

2. China has manpower (1.3 billion), a growing economy, excellent scientific design/development, a rudimentary nuclear force, and a growing military;

3. India has proven in recent wargames with the U. S. to have some pretty good fighter-planes/tactics, a large pool of manpower (1 billion), a growing economy, excellent scientific expertise, and a rudimentary nuclear force.

Now, imagine the EU joining the alliance described above.

The last time a country faced such formidable foes was Nazi Germany during WWII. All credit belongs to the NeoCon Junta for getting us into this mess.

2. the bombers are for China, not Pakistan
They've fought 2 or 3 times in the past, with India losing big chunks of territory.
