MILWAUKEE -- Investigators probing reports of voter fraud in the November 2004 election found no evidence of partisan efforts to sway the vote, a federal prosecutor says.

U.S. Attorney Steve Biskupic, a Republican appointed in 2002 by President George W. Bush, said possibly "a couple of dozen" isolated cases of suspected fraud could bring charges, but sloppy record keeping on the part of election officials would make it difficult to prove them.
