A mini-rant on CJ John Roberts --

I heard audio from the case the Supreme Court is hearing on military recruiters on campus. Roberts rudely and cockily interrupted (not "fired back" at, as the article says) the attorney representing schools in this exchange I heard:

"Rosenkranz said that when schools help military recruiters, like sending out recruiting e-mails on their behalf, then students think the schools endorse their messages -- even with disclaimers.

Roberts fired back: 'The reason they don't believe you is because you're willing to take the money. What you're saying is "this is a message we believe in strongly, but we don't believe in it to the detriment of $100 million."'"

Then you could hear the courtroom erupt in laughter, I'm sure to Roberts's immense pleasure with himself, which he is, IMO, very full of.

I noticed all during the run-up to his confirmation, especially in his e-mails which were made public, what a SMART-ASS this guy is! I guess he's been told all his life that he's Mr. Clever Brilliant Guy, and, now he's really shown all those liberal kids he went to school with -- he's effin CJ of the Supreme Court! And since he got those blue contacts, he's a handsome dude, too! And those other nominees? Did they sail through to confirmation, like he did? He is DA MAN! (To himself, at least.)
