FLUSTERED JENNA LOSES WALLET-fleeing from a would-be suitor
December 5, 2005 -- FUN-loving First Daughter Jenna Bush apparently lost her wallet at Lower East Side hotspot Happy Endings while fleeing from a would-be suitor.

The 23-year-old blonde is said to have left a billfold stuffed with $1,000 in cash and her University of Texas at Austin student ID card at the watering hole some time last week, reports Travis Poston, proprietor of Web site tbirdshow.com.

65. "Happy ending" is whorespeak euphamism.
If you go in for a 'massage' in a questionable 'parlor', the question is asked, would you like a 'happy ending'...need I say more?

I first learned of this phrase watching an episode of 'Mind of the Married Man' (HBO series)

The majority of women I knew in college and young adulthood must have been "drunken whores" according to your ridiculous standards.

What misogynistic nonsense. Guess what? Women get to go out, tie one on, and fuck to their hearts content as well.

WTF is wrong with you?

32. If Jenna Bush is a pothead, is it news?
Edited on Mon Dec-05-05 11:47 AM by chat_noir

Should Jenna Bush, the 19-year-old daughter of the president, be in jail? Or at least be arrested? That's a conclusion to be drawn from a recent report in the National Enquirer that asserts she smokes marijuana. After all, some 600,000 Americans are arrested every year for marijuana possession -- including about 13,000 teenage girls. Some would say, of course, that Jenna Bush shouldn't be hassled for allegedly smoking pot, but then maybe nobody else should either.

The charge that Jenna smokes marijuana is found in the Enquirer's March 20 issue; the tabloid quotes two unidentified fellow students, one of whom says, "Jenna came over one night and we all did some doobies together. I wouldn't say she's a major pothead but she likes to toke up when it's around." Can unnamed sources be trusted? The answer to that question usually depends on the reputation of the publication.

...

One reason the Enquirer gets scoops like these is that it hunts for them, while other publications are leery of "scandal-mongering." But as media critic William Powers observed recently in the distinctly unsensationalistic National Journal, sometimes the real news is scandal: "Despite their well-known flaws, the tabs are now serious players because they know that great journalism isn't just about bloodless policy and issue debates. It's about ethical foibles and hypocrisies of the powerful."

...

The White House dismisses the Enquirer report as not being worthy of comment. Noelia Rodriguez, press secretary to the first lady, said only this much on the record: "Our position on the daughters is that they're private citizens."

Fair enough, although that position doesn't shield others from being hassled over their activities as private citizens. As the drug war escalates, Uncle Sam's reach extends further. In 1998, Congress amended the Higher Education Act in an effort to exclude students with past drug convictions from receiving financial aid. According to Students for Sensible Drug Policy, some 8,600 college kids have lost some or all of their benefits during the current school year after revealing a drug conviction on their application form. Another 278,000 refused to answer the question; Congress is poised to tighten restrictions further to de-fund those students, too.

First you say that it's nobody's business what Jenna and Barbara do ... that they're private citizens and this is "tabloid stuff."

So, I point out that BushCo spends taxpayer dollars to show us what these "private citizens" do.

Now you say it's trivial.

However, the few examples I cited (of the MANY available) show Jenna "sitting with children" or "talking with children." That's not trivial? Riiiight.

Maybe it's a matter of whatever goes around comes around??

Jenna (and Barbara) is an adult. They both have some say about whether their activities are publicized. Obviously, they allow it. At taxpayer expense to tout "family values" and compassion-by-association = daddy.

As far as I can see, they got no complaint coming ... even by proxy.

And are avid students of its effects.

I find this story interesting because a story about a close family member may illuminate us on a certain person (her father.)

Now, I'm sure Jenna's father was always there for her. I'm sure he started early, like a good parent, to give her the support she needed to reject alcohol abuse. I'm sure of this, because her father is the top guy in the Family Values Party.

Both daughters are touted, at taxpayer expense, as (politicized) members of the "First Family." As adults, they clearly cooperate with the pimping of their activities. Fine. They can take the bad with the good. Let's not forget that they assumedly have some control over their behavior.

Personally, I couldn't care less whether they drank themselves to death. That doesn't mean others can't fairly subject their behvior to scrutiny. Since they pimp for their dad, it's fair.
