Pastor Punched at Altar
Story at:
http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=nation_world&id=3661029

This occurred at one of the large fundie maga-churches here in Tulsa, JOklahoma. The pastor involved has been quite active in right wing political matters - and supports the efforts to install a creation exhibit at the Tulsa zoo. The church in question has over 10,000 members, contacts in approximately 75 countries worldwide with Bible schools in many of these countries, and a television broadcast ministry. It meets in the Mabee Center auditorium at Oral Roberts University. Apparently the guy that punched the pastor took a jab at evangelist Richard Roberts some fifteen years or so ago.

3. I saw the clip on the news
and anyway what kind of church has 10,000 member?? x( Sure doesn't seem like much a church to me, certainly no personal touch, no one knows you etc. etc. Years ago people joined churches so they could make friends, have support and have a sense of community, so much for that. :eyes:

4. Damn, and he thought the only occupational hazard would be...
the possibility of dropping the collection plate on his foot!

6. Video here
http://www.break.com/articles/preacherpunch.html

According to the story linked above, Richard Roberts declined to press charges as well. I may have to start up the hobby of punching these fake evangelists. Apparently, they won't press charges so as to appear like they're being big about it.
