Stopping my subscription to the Washington Post!
Angry because of the suspension of Boondocks for their strip on Condisleeza Rice. Talk about a geshtapo! I thought this was a free country. That cartoon was next to nothing compared to what the white cartoonists publish. I think it is rank racism...until they suspend some of the other cartoonists for their much more heavy-handed satire, I will continue to believe this is rank racism.

Called and told them why I stopped my subscription this evening...had to leave it on voice mail.

Mad as hell. Won't watch Oprah anymore either. First Arnie...now Condi..too much to bear since there has been no equal time for Dems.

1. How does the WP publish Doonesbury?
Edited on Sat Oct-18-03 12:12 AM by JackSwift
On the comics page or editorial page. As a former editor, a series of strips that basically say Condi is a warmonger 'cuz she doesn't get laid really isn't appropriate for a comics page, particularly as opinion. It doesn't have a place in a family newspaper at all. Yeah, maybe an alternative freebie or the Rolling Stone, but really, I'd never run a political cartoon that had this as its thrust when it was my job to pick editorial cartoons. That said, I think it is funny and appropriate for the DU or Bartcop.

2. Your discription of the cartoon is very misleading...
Just like the President's justification for invading Iraq!

4. No different...
It's not any different than that pathetic "Mallard Fillmore" garbage that trashes liberals every day.
