(Southern Accent) The pecker knows no bias....
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 03:27 PM by Wetzelbill
Al Franken was doing his impression of Strom Thurmond today and kept saying this to Mary Mapes. It was hilarious, just the way he kept saying it.

I recall the revelation that Strom Thurmond have a black daughter, it virtually ensured he would go down in history as one of the biggest hypocrites ever.

There are many other examples of Republican hypocrisy though. Such as Social Conservative Congressman Bob Barr, who had an affair while he was married and also forced his wife to have an abortion, driving her to a clinic, dropping her off and speeding away.

Then you have the Newt Gingrich affair, Rush's divorces and drug habits, and Bill Bennett's gambling. I think my new favorite is pretty much anything Tom Delay does. Saipan is bad. Tom supports a system in which young women are enslaved and have forced abortions. That's a good one.

To tell you the truth you can go on forever on this topic.

7. I like that woman, Edith, the "Senior Minute" character
I love the way she's crochety but then suddenly spits out something really raunchy ... It's a similar voice to what he uses for Strom.

9. try page 558 of "The Clinton Wars" by Sidney Blumenthal
Barr's second wife, Gail, signed on affidavit saying that Barr committed adultery while married to her and would not talk about it during their divorce proceedings. She was also the source for the abortion story.

11. Strom Thurmond did have a black daughter
and he supposedly took care of her financially, albeit on the sly. This was made public about 10-15 years ago.

Thurmond also married a Miss SC when he was in his 70s and she was about 20. Here in SC we Dems referred to him by the epithet "Sperm Thurmond".

I thought you might like some extra info on Thurmond from his home state. The blinders worn by many repukes here concerning this topic is amazing. I have already told you much about the recent experiences I've had with these people lately... forget the lies of Bu$h and Co., but focus on Clinton and Lewinsky.

One could go on forever with republican hypocrisy concerning sex...
