Number of days off for Bush as of 8/3/03

250 days off. These were spent at Crawford or Camp David. Thats 27% of his term so far. You can add 30 days to that for this years Crawford trip. His old man, 543 days off for his term. Almost a year and a half of vacation time in four years of office.

Would do a better job as well, especially in the budget area! (now some of you know I'm in bad financial shape right now... my point is, I'm trying to slam Bush. :D )

5. I was listening to Enid Goldstein...

when she was talking about the shrub. She commented that the governor's position in Texas is a somewhat weaker governor than in other states. She went on to say that this afforded him plenty of time to play computer games and work out.

I don't know much about his term as governor. but I do recall it being said that he was one of those guys who liked nothing on his desk and who delegated most everything he could. Sort of fits Enid's assessment.

8. Governor of Texas is not the most powerful job in the state.

I believe that it's the head of the House or Senate. Also, I'm pretty sure that their legislature is in session every other year.

Vacation/war? vacation/war? What a tough decision he has to make. Those are exactly the kinds of decisions that don't make me qualified to be appointed president of the united states. I honestly don't know how the man does it! Jeez, what a total and complete IDIOT!

9. Although......the president can work from any location nowadays.

This isn't 1900 where the president has to be physically in Washington in order to work. Because of modern technology, the president can get as much done from Crawford or Camp David. In truth, the president doesn't really get a day off.
