Iowa republicans choose campaign issue for 2004..
It was broadcast on tonight's news that a group of Iowan's got together to promote Bush in 2004. The group included Dan Gable and a bunch of other nobody's as far I could tell. But its not that this group wants to promote bush in 2004 but rather what they believe the main campaign issue will be and guess what,

It TERRORISM!! That's right folks. Republican's in this great state of Iowa want to promote dubya war on terrorism as their main campaign issue.

I guess they cannot talk about the economy, or social security, or medicare, or a drug prescription benefit, or the environment, or just about anything else but its going to be terrorism..

This ought to be good..

1. Imagine that!
He even sucks on the war on terrorism! Let the dems remind all of the wonderful voters in Iowa that we still don't have Bin Laden, Saddam, the anthrax killer, Iraq and Afganistan are a mess, the ports are still not secure and how the patriot act is being used for everything but the war on terror! Let's also remind all of those wonderful voters what Bushco. was doing on 9/11...HIDING!!!!!!!!! That is some strong leadership right there! After all of that, the dems can then discuss the economy, the sad shape of our public schools and universities, the clean air act and how that actually makes more pollution. Do I need to continue?

2. Dan Gable is a Hero
But they'll need to put a few inch thick Iowa Pork Chops around his neck to attract a few dogs to the Terra issue thing.

3.  a helpful choice for Dems
It will give us a wonderful opportunity to point out how miserably Jr has failed in the war on terrorism.

He has squandered the immense good will many had for us after 9/11.
He has made us even more hated with his occupation of Iraq.
He has driven us deeply into debt.
He has wasted untold amounts of military resources.
Thanks to his preoccupation with Iraqi oil the Taliban is now gathering strength in Afghanistan.

And the lists goes on and on.

Again, I am delighted with their issue selection. Let the games begin.

Julie
