Just in CNN: 10 marines killed, 11 wounded in Falluja...
Edited on Fri Dec-02-05 11:26 AM by Flubadubya
I don't suppose this has already been announced as CNN said it was just coming in, but the report is that 10 marines were killed and 11 were wounded in an explosion in Falluja on Thursday.

This is why I get so uncontrollably angry at the likes of Joe Lieberman, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, et. al. when they do not see that these deaths are a complete and utter WASTE and should be stopped immediately. We shouldn't lose another soul in that God-forsaken killing field George W. Bush has created! :grr::mad::argh::cry:

5. WASHINGTON (Reuters)

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Ten U.S. Marines conducting a foot patrol outside the Iraqi city of Falluja were killed in the explosion of an insurgent bomb on Thursday, the U.S. military announced on Friday.

In a statement released in Falluja, the military said another 11 Marines were wounded in the blast caused by an "improvised explosive device" fashioned from several large artillery shells. Seven of those wounded have been able to return to duty, the military said.

The attack is one of the worst single incidents to hit U.S. Marines in the war

10. Yeah, was it Warner who was saying yesterday that
Falluja was being rebuilt from the ground? It was one of the good news stories not being reported?

14. Could've been! They've been touting the 'success' of
Falluja pretty hard recently. To be honest, I've had the TV off and stuck more with radio during the day lately. Two or three hours in with the evening Propagandapaloozas are all that's needed for the latest spin and lies.

Offtopic: Was that you who mentioned you're busy quilting? Hope it's going well for you! I need to rifle through a few of my books and get fabric sorted for Christmas gifts, but not feeling motivated enough yet. *sigh*

28. I've been working on a baby quilt for the past two weeks in
fits and spurts. I owe my newest granddaughter a quilt. I make either an afghan or a quilt for each baby, but in the time around her birth I was not feeling well and was undergoing treatment for cancer. I hope to have it done by next Wednesday. It's cold enough to forsake yardwork now (except for the shovelling). I settled on a pretty simple design with a center field, four corner blocks, and strips on the sides and top and bottom. Field has a rather large applique of a teddybear with some blocks and his own teddy bear.

aren't they supposed t be ''taking point'' now?

these deaths are senseless -- and to you freep fucks -- these soldiers did not die in a war defending the u.s.

Took his first step with a cane yesterday. Happy to be out of the wheelchair and walker. This is horrible news for these families. Especially with so many killed from the same unit.

My heart just aches for these people. Fuck You Bush! I Fucking Loathe This Bastard With My Very Last Cell!

20. Meanwhile Il Dumbo is singing
carols and turning on tree lights in the name of peace. There is no real debate on war or peace, but MSM wastes time and energy arguing over what the fugging tree should be called. Holy, holy $hit. Never in my existence have I seen a more dangerous and costly inversion of reality.

27. What I'm expecting
is that an insurgent or maybe several, is going to infiltrate the Iraqi police recruits, get their confidence, get into the green zone with the Americans and then show up one day with a bomb strapped underneath his flak jacket and take out 50 soldiers or more.

I'm expecting it any week now.
