Religious Extremest Pharmacists in Ill. suspended for refusing to fill RXs
Some religious extremest pharmacists refused to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception on "moral ground" (whatever that means) - this type of thing is becoming alarmingly common - but Illinois law requires them to fill it or take effective action to get it filled.

These crusading pharmacists got suspended by Walgreen's for violating the law.

Can you imagine if a Scientologist pharmacist refused to fill a Prozac prescription and the patient subsequently committed suicide? Would xtian crusaders come out to stand up for the Scientologists' right to his religious beliefs? Not likely.

1. Religion is all bunk.
Thomas A. Edison

The longer I live the more religion seems like simple ignorant superstition.

If there really were a single cloud god, why so many different religions, with the adherents fighting as to which is the one true religion? Wouldn't he/she/whatever let us know just to stop the bickering?

2. people in service industries need to understand
that their job is "SERVICE" ...they have a right (under us law) to hold any religious convictions they wish....but they DO NOT have the right to impose those convictions on anyone else (also under us law) by denying the services they have been contracted to provide....

4. Having absolute truth
Christians trust in God alone for a reference point of absolutes, what is right and what is wrong. These Americans have the freedom to obey God and refuse to aid a woman in murdering her unborn baby,........do they not?
Do you not believe they are free to follow their convictions?
They counted the cost of obeying God,........losing their job.
I would think you would hardily agree with their right,
allowing them "freedom of choice."
Let's try to be more tolerant of others beliefs.

5. they have every right to do so
and Walgreen's has every right to expect its employees to follow their rules and fire them if they don't
