Is bush the new Belshazzar? Most apt description I've read yet!
The Thursday NYT's editorial page has a devastating piece on bush's PLAN...in the piece, they compare him to Belshazzar. John Aravosis, being of the curious type, looked up Belshazzar and found this:

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2005/12/nyt-bush-makes-nixon-look-good.html

Pathetically, Belshazzar was a hollow man. His life was based on a series of bad assumptions about himself. He had a facade of royalty, a name and title that he held on to for dear life. He threw parties that suggested regal authority, he issued commands, spoke of gods, and used religious implements as articles of ridicule and dishonor. He acted as if he were someone important and substantial, but he was none of those things. He was a man who imagined that because he sat on a great throne, he was a great person. He imagined that because thick walls surrounded him, he was safe from harm. He imagined that because he spoke with bravado when drunk, he was brave. But none of those things were true.

1. The lesson bu$h will leave for the history books is: History can repeat
Horribly, this is a culmination of many parts of history repeating all at once.

3. Son of Nebuchadnezzar
Edited on Thu Dec-01-05 08:08 AM by SpiralHawk
Belshazzar , according to the Bible, was the son of Nebuchadnezzar and last king of Babylon. The Book of Daniel relates that, at his feast, handwriting appeared on the wall. Daniel interpreted it as a prophecy of doom; that night Babylonia fell to the otherwise unknown Darius the Mede.

Here we are in the Year of 2005 -- back in Babalonia again -- and all kinds of Occult Forces have been unleashed by our Skull & Bone Cabal Belshazzar Reincarnation Boy: George AWOL Bush.

Don't the Skull & Boners worship Bel? Guess I'm not up to speed on the Demons who are worshipped in Occult Cabals such as the Bush Klan stays involved in.

Keep your eye on the WALLS to see what prophecies of bAbAloniAn dOOm may appear.

Kreeepy. Totally Kreeepy.

But this, too, shall pass.

4. Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin
Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin , in the Bible, the mysterious riddle written by a hand on the wall at Belshazzar's feast. These Aramaic words may be translated literally as, “It has been counted and counted, weighed and divided.” Daniel interpreted this to mean that the king's deeds had been weighed and found deficient and that his kingdom would therefore be divided.

6. The Shrub has been weighed and found deficient.
One can only hope that his kingdom does not become more divided than it already is.

7. Belzebush's Vision "thing"
From the NYT editorial:

"Mr. Bush's vision of the next big step is equally troubling: training Iraqi forces well enough to free American forces for more of the bloody and ineffective search-and-destroy sweeps that accomplish little beyond alienating the populace."

9. Tin-foil hat time ! Notice the little pitchforks
Edited on Thu Dec-01-05 12:25 PM by SpiralHawk

Little pitchforks coming out of the tops of the shields on either side of Bush? I assume they are the Annapolis logo. But strange all the same in this peculiar propaganda context.

What are those pitchforks all about, Mr. Belshazzar? I mean, WTF?

Here's a DU thread deconstructing the stage set for the Propaganda Extravaganza:
