CNN: Most Americans doubt plan for Iraq victory
As President Bush launched a new effort Wednesday to gain public support for the Iraq war, a new poll found most Americans do not believe he has a plan that will achieve victory.

Among poll respondents, 55 percent said they did not believe Bush has a plan that will achieve victory for the United States in Iraq; 41 percent thought he did.

Asked about Bush's handling of the Iraq war, 54 percent said it was poor, while 44 percent thought he was doing a good job. Just 35 percent wanted to set a specific timetable for their exit, as some critics of the war have suggested.

Asked if the war will make the United States safer from terrorism in the long run, 48 percent said yes and 43 percent no, within the poll's sampling error.

2. another thing that's not being asked or discussed
anyone wonder what comes after Iraq? Sooner or later, one way or another we will be out of Iraq.

Then what?

According to the bushies - Iraq is part of the "war on terra". Win or lose or however you want to spin it what's the next step after Iraq?

do we invade Iran next, or will it be Syria, or North Korea? and what about Afghanistan - that's still not secure - taliban and al qaeda are still operating there.

will this just turn into a bush* version of manifest destiny where we invade one country after another in a series of wars?

how many other countries do we have to turn into flypaper to achieve a victory over terror?

just asking.....
