bush is a prisoner now, like howard hughes in his last days
he's in a prison of his own design, totally insulated from reality at last, surrounded by yes men whores afraid to tell him bad news or differ with him, in a bunker like adolph, his great uncle.

like howard hughes, given monstrous powers and possibilities so overwhelming that he descends into heavy drug use and is supported by a team of vultures and parasites. bush can only appear before very select crowds, almost always soldiers lately, so frightened of the average american on the street that he cannot appear before them.

he can't have press conferences for all the scandals he'd have to address, he hates reporters, he hates protesters, he hates complicated or contrary questions, and he hates for people to see how clueless he is when off script.

he's hiding all the time in plain sight, either in s. america or asia or camp david or crawdad, texas, never going on talk shows, never taking more than 2 questions if any, he's behind invisible bars, afraid to appear in the daylight of reality like dracula.

and in the back of his tiny skull he may see himself behind real iron bars in the not too distant future.

3. I'm assuming they did that long ago...
Surely his handlers have enough sense to remove the capability for this brain-dead asshole to start lobbing nukes.

It's hard to sleep these days knowing that psycho is in the White House.

6. Don't bet on it.
His handlers are nearly as feckless and insane as he is.

2. And he did it all to himself
I might be able to gin up some sympathy for this murderous thug, but the time isn't now, for sure. If Bush is a prisoner, he carefully, painstakingly, lovingly fashioned his own iron bars, mixed the mortar and placed the bricks. He's nowhere now that he hasn't been actively trying to be for the last 20 years.

You have to respect a man so devoted to such a labor. It would be a crime against nature to let him off the hook or give him any release now.

4. The nukes codes are a worry, and his descent into madness
has been so public that most people are afraid to make notice of it. Excellent post, Mo. How long can we survive like this? It is amazing that we have survived this long...

7. More than simply howard, its the mentality of the whole gang
The neocons are bunkered down. They think they've wired everything.

The only glimmer of decent behaviour from the lot of them is condi's
extracurricular activity to make peace in palestine. Would that they
truly want to end war in our time, then that is the place to drop the
rose petals.

Don't just scapegoat bush. The load of them are incomptent corrupt
embezzlers, like termites, slinking away back in to their worm holes
after rotting out the presidency. The load of them have always been
howard hughes, a ghost presidency, like the ghost corporations that
appointed him, and the ghost constitution from which that corporate
imperial entity claims its right.

8. Condi's activity
is just prelude to her taking over the whole cabal in 08. They are trying to distance her form the debacle in Iraq.

16. You really think Condi will run for president in 08?
I'm not getting that a white racist man's party will tolerate a black
woman, not just in a line job, but with the football.

It would be a refreshing break from their endemic racism if condi took
over the GOP from the neocons, but i'm skeptical. She's shoulder deep
in iraq; no way to get off those clothes, and if she tries, her
opponents will just drag out the footage, how a national security
advisor could have been so incompetent on the job, that the United
states was attacked. Normal military ettiquette, on failing to defend
one's post, is to resign, but these brazen fools think that incompetence
is a badge of honour, that in failing to defend the country, they are
"defenders", and in pushing to an ill advised war on iraq, they ALL
sit in the dock together. Nuremburg-II coming to a courtroom near you.

17. As I was flipping channels yesterday AM, between football pre-game
shows, I landed on Tweety's Sunday AM GOP love fest, and the entire panel, made up of Smirk-lovers, was gushing about how popular she is and how she should run. I think it's a done deal.

9. Thanks, mo. and I hope you're right. If he's suffering
one iota, that would make me very happy since he has rained so much suffering on others. And I don't care if I ever see his nasty mug again or hear him mangling the english language.

food testers and no one knows which meal he'll choose.

12. bush has been insulated since day one.
And Howard Hughes, before he cracked up was a smart cookie. What has bush ever done that was intelligent? I do agree that he is super insulated now. Hope that he doesn't follow Hughes' example and stops taking showers. Eeeuuuww!

13. Great observation mopaul - just wish the Woodstock days would
come to Crawford, with the whole cast of 500,000 clean cut pot smoking American boys and girls. With entertainers like Jim Henrix playing the Star Spangled Banner for junior over and over and over at ear sound piercing levels.

Hopefully, we'll come through to the other side better, stronger people, who knows what kind of trip wires these insane fucks have put out.

They're scary, and I'm so goddamned tired of being scared.

15. The difference is Howard Hughes was a genius

Before his mental illness set in he changed the face of aviation for the world.

Bush has been stupid for way too long.
