You know what Watergate taught these guys? Stonewall it to the
last man.

Even if the truth is plain to a one day old baby deny, deny, deny, spin, spin, spin,

They want power. They want to accumulate power and then flaunt it in people's faces so that the vast majority of people will give up believing that they can affect change.

Cheney and Rumsfeld took lessons from Watergate:Nixon should have kept on denying and then defy the Supreme Court.

These bastards are going to bring this country to the very brink of destroying it to achieve power for themselves and like minded vulcans

End of my rant for today.

1. Yes, but we saw how well that worked for Nixon, not to mention
the Burglars and Haldeman and Ehrlichmann. If Nixon had defied the Supreme Court instead of overturning the tapes I have no doubt he would have been impeached.

3. Ideally it should be "plausible denial"
Remember that little gift to our lexicon?

4. Uhh, couldn't you have said "Like-minded Klingons?"
Mr. Spock had no power-hungry emotions (except for one day every 7 years).
Otherwise, my Watergate analogy exactly. Good point!
