We need to focus our attention more on the GOP and less on Bush*/Cheney
All of this Bush* bashing is just giving the Republicans an out. Now they don't have to accept any responsibility for anything because it is all Bush*'s or Cheney's fault. Republicans will still vote Republican just not for Bush* and he ain't running anyway. In a Republican's mind the next guy they pick will make it all right and besides they still have Congress right????. Well all of this is the fault of the Republican party not Bush*. It started long long before Bush* entered the scene. Bush* is basically told what to do. that is apparent every time he does something on his own. The far right will demand he make it right and Bush* always does exactly what he is required to do. We need to get our eye on the ball because Bush* is just a cheerleader and his team has the ball and Democrats have been watching the cheerleaders and have no idea where the ball is. The ball is redistricting, election reform, campaign finance reform, judiciary being stocked with right wing fanatics, it is not about whether Bush* stretched the truth in getting us into Iraq. Hell everybody knows that is the case but so what..... We are there. Republicans always believe it is better to say they are sorry for something than to ask permission for it. Americans have a very short memory span and Republicans count heavily on that fact. If we ever want to win over America we need to show a very distinct difference between us and them and not just have it be about this Administration..It is about an entire culture of corruption but one of our main problems is Democrats are almost as guilty as Republicans are and the Public can not tell a difference so , "why change horses in mid stream?" If we don't start giving them a reason soon.....well.....

1. You're right, but...
'anyone but Bush' didn't work for us in 04', so we need to make sure we have strong Democrats who actually have a plan.

2. You Make A Very Good Point
With the 2006 elections coming, this is the time to shift blame to the Congress. We must distinguish more clearly between them and us. Unfortunately, us is shifting. That needs to stop.

3. I agree
Those that consider themselves "conservative" will fall in line and vote as usual for whatever republican candidate is on the ballot. There has to be an effort to group the entire republican party with the corruption and overall decline on our country in the last 5 years. The lack of security from potential "terrorists" should also be a focus. Active plans to make people feel more secure need to be put on the table by the democrats.
