Daniel Ellsberg: 70th protest arrest today
Former Defense Official Among War Protestors Arrested In Texas

A former Defense Department official who became a prominent anti-war figure is among a dozen war protesters who were arrested Wednesday near President Bush's ranch in Texas.

Ellsberg says those who saw through the Vietnam war also see through the Iraq war. He estimates today's arrest is his 70th for various protests since the 1970s.

2. Ellsberg is the bridge. From the Pentagon Papers to Crawford
One could argue that his release of the Pentagon Papers led to Nioxonian paranoia that led to Watergate.

A true hero in the antiwar movement for the ages.
He always reminds me of that 60s protest song:

We who are spirits of the Revolution
We will not give in
and
We will not give in

3. He's the real OG of anti-war protestors.
Pentagon Papers!!

I can remember getting his materials and pouring over them. We were all shocked at finally seeing the antics behind the curtain.

4. Ellsberg: the hightest form of life
Along with Michael Moore.

DE was just here in my area giving a talk at a soup luncheon for a peace group. People had to be turned away because there was such a huge demand for tickets.

11. Major props to that guy
I agreed with him then and I agree with him now.

Please Bush or Cheney, come here to my part of the country so I can be arrested.

I can't believe I'm having to do this all over again.
