Is there a strong Dem. running against G.I. Jean next year in Ohio?

Or could she be torpedoed in a Repug. primary? I so not want to see her in Congress next year to reach her treat other people better.

1. I hope its another Marine who runs against her.
I don't care what party he or she is as long as she gets the boot.

2. Wouldn't it be great if we found another Dem. marine
to run her out of town?

3. I'm hoping for Hackett
It would be a shame for two good candidates to duke it out in the Senate primary when Schmitt will be so vulnerable. I think he would win the second time around (as if he didn't win the first time).

4. The way Ohio runs their elections
I think that republicans will always win even if no-one votes for them.

5. Too early to tell about a Dem, but...
I expect Bob McEwen to challenge the witch in a repub primary.
Apparently, he's pretty popular. In the OH-2 June 14, 2005 primary when there were six or eight repubs contesting for the nomination, McEwen came second to mean jean by about 700
votes - roughly 11,500 to 10,800. Hackett won the Dem nom
with only 7280. Major turnout differences: 41k R to 11k D. Bad
news for any Dem in OH-2, I'd venture...even with the results in
the Aug 2 election being roughly 55k schmidt to 52k Hackett.

But, with the help of Coingate, Taft (a living argument against
intelligent design,) Bob Ney's (and perhaps 60! more members of Congress) entanglement with Abramoff, ad infinitum, the dark side may self-destruct. Now only if the citizenry will pay attention to reality, and NOT most of the regional print and broadcast media...and if the vote-counting can be trusted (ever) we perhaps could get a Dem winner. Long odds at present, IMVeryHO.

7. From what I heard about that district, they would vote for a repuke even
if the candidate was a rapist, felon, or sex offender.
