Poll question: Would you consider a Pullout of Iraq without Presidential Accountability?
Edited on Tue Nov-22-05 11:58 AM by IChing
A re-employment of troops seems to be gaining headway in order for the repugs to save face in the 2006 election.
So here is the choice

2. I voted for a pullout with major accountability, but I don't see these...
...as inextricably linked issues. I voted that way because I want both, but I really want a withdrawal from Iraq NOW, with no conditions. Then we can pursue the issue of accountability separately. Linking the two simply makes disengagement less likely.

3. I would like accountability...but that said
I do not want one more mother, father, husband, wife, child, sister or brother to have to sob over the coffin of their loved one.

If the only way we can get them home is to let that asshole escape, so be it. We can go after him later, with the long lens of history.

I cannot be 'ideologically pure' so long as our best and brightest are dying over there.

6. I Agree, But...
It really chaps the FUCK out of me to think that we might have to let the asshole go unpunished!

I want that fucker hung high in the public square, and I want a fucking baseball bat, so I can play piñata with GWB's body as it slowly twists in the wind!!

God-DAMN how badly I hate that motherfucker, no one will EVER reach the level of hatred for him that I have!!

I have been un and under-employed for two YEARS now, thanks to Bush. Thanks to Bush, I had to move back home, with my tail between my legs...after ten years of living on my own, I had to move back with mommy...a 34 year old failure at life! And I will never fucking forgive Bush for that loss of pride. NEVER!!

Fuck the war, fuck everything else...yeah, he's an asshole for all those things, but my major source of hatred for Bush is economic. And if I can't punish him, directly, for the economic shitheap, then fine, if I can get him on war crimes, great. Just so long as the asshole pays...and pays dearly...for the harm he has done!

If GWB were on fire I wouldn't fucking PISS on him to put out the flames!!

8. Monkey is the history major who does not care about history, so he says
But if he lives to see the books written about his misadministration, I suspect he'll make Warren Harding look like Mother Theresa. He may even knock his ancestor, Franklin Pierce, out of the running as one of the top three WORST presidents ever.

His only retreat will be to take close counsel with his pals, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, and his south-of-the-border pal, Jose Cuervo.

I do understand your anger, and I sympathize. But if a choice had to be made, I'd rather preserve the lives of our forces, who joined in good faith, than punish that little worthless turd in the WH. At the end of the day, his punishment is being HIM. Imagine going through life being that stupid, that obtuse....he is, and always will be, a miserable, clueless bastard.

I have a multi-generational household, myself, due in no small part to the shitty economy. We've taken what could have been a negative and turned it into a real positive, not without a bit of understanding and effort on all our parts--and really, we are stronger as a group for it. It's nice to have backup, especially in these troubled times.

I realize you aren't happy with your current lot, but there can be bright spots to living with your mother. Help her out as much as you can, in everyday, practical ways--from helping with bills, raking leaves, to doing repairs, to watching her back, and simply listening to her. What you've lost (your independent life) may be compensated in part by the renewed closeness you find with your loved ones. It might be a forced situation, but try to take it as an opportunity to renew bonds.

You know what they say about family--they're the ones that HAVE to take you in!

Don't let it get you down--with any luck, and a change in our government, this too, will pass.

11. I Know....
But I STILL want my pound of flesh from that motherfucker Bush!! I want it REAL BAD!!
I want REVENGE against him.

Yeah, on the positive side, there will be a time when I no longer have my mom, and I'll be glad that I had the time with her that I did...and might not have...if not for the shit economy (prior to this I was living 1,700 miles away from my mom.)

BUT ALL THAT ISN'T THE POINT!!

The point is...it should NEVER have happened!!

Bush was supposed to protect our jobs and our economy, and he fucked it all up instead. He caused immeasurable harm and suffering. He caused me a loss of pride I will never get back.

And I want a piece of his ASS for that. I want to make him HURT!! I want to see him SUFFER like I have suffered.

And if I can't make him suffer for the shitheap he has made out of the economy, fine....if I can get him on war-crimes, that'll work for me. Just so long as he gets severely punished!!

I want to see him fed to angry mobs with baseball bats! I have NEVER wished such eveil on anyone before, but Bush....well, he deserves every last fucking thing he gets!

I so BADLY hate him...there isn't even a word to describe the feelings I have for Bush...after all the suffering he has caused me!!!

13. No accountability....
means more death ahead. If they are not held accountable, then to them it means they did nothing wrong, so Syria and Iran, here we come.
