7. I suggest 3 weeks of...
A medically-supervised, barbituate-induced coma. When you wake up, everything will be much, much better. ;-D

4. It's interesting
how comfortable we get with our old visual formats. I recently tried to switch to MSN Messenger instead of AOL and I just can't do it. It looks so different!

6. It's going to take a little while to implement all the changes.
We're trying to make it as easy as possible for all of you. Hopefully it won't seem too different or too complicated once it's done.

9. I'm not uncertain. I think these are good changes.
But I have done this job long enough to know that some people are very resistant to change, and are likely to freak out. So we do what we can to make these changes as easy as possible.

10. Skinner: What is the "mark all" icon for?
I've never been able to figure it out and I'm afraid to click on it. I have no idea what would happen!

11. From the FAQ
What do "Mark" and "Mark All" do?

The "Mark" function helps you keep track of which posts are new. When you click "Mark" in a particular forum, all of the posts in that forum will get marked with a white icon, like this: . Any messages that are posted in that forum after you click "Mark" will be marked with a gold icon, like this: .

The "Mark All" icon marks messages in every forum.

Note: In order to use the "Mark" function you need to have the function turned on in your preferences. Click on "Options" then click "Edit your preferences" (or just click here). Under the section "Use MARK time stamp feature?" Select "yes" and then click the "Update" button.

18. What happens if you pick No for mark time stamp feature?
I thought it would automatically mark them read, but it doesn't seem to.

Use MARK time stamp feature?
Select "yes" if you wish to use the MARK time stamp feature to keep track of new messages. In this mode, you manually mark forums when you finish reading all the messages in that forum. Otherwise, your last visit time stamp is used to keep track of new messages. yes no

12. Marks all messages as read in every forum
There's also an option in your user preferences to automatically "Mark" after you read a forum.

15. I'm pretty sure we've had that upgrade for a while.
But I'm not positive.

We still need to do some work on our search function. It can be very frustrating.
